Robert Raymond “Bob” Kluiter, age 73, of Sparta, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Sanctuary at St. Mary’s Senior Living Community in Grand Rapids and began his greatest adventure, walking with the Lord.

The son Jacob & Gertrude (Osterling) Kluiter, he was born on October 22, 1937. Bob grew up in Grand Rapids and retired from Meyerink Trenching, LLC. Following retirement he followed his love of golf working at the Moose Lodge Golf Course where he was a member for over 30 years. Bob was also a member of the Sparta Eagles for over 30 years.

Bob is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Alan, Mike, Cheryl (significant other, Bill Rider), Starlene McClure, (significant other, James Anderson), Brenda Hankis, (Craig); brother, Phillip; Sisters, Grace Systema and Henrietta Louis. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and grand-puppy, Chipper.

Memorial Service Saturday, September 3, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Life Church, 3233 10 Mile Rd. NE, Rockford, MI 49341. Immediately followed by a Ceremony and Luncheon at Sparta Moose Lodge, 11510 N. Division Ave., Sparta, MI 49345. Please feel free to direct memorial contributions to the Sparta Moose Lodge Golf Course, in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation Company, Grand Rapids.
