Robert L. Shields, age 67, of Grand Rapids passed away Thursday June 14, 2012 in Grand Rapids. The son of William and Ruth (Buckhout) Shields, Bob was born on August 9, 1944 in Lansing, Michigan and worked in Maintenance for many years.

Surviving are his siblings, Lena Haven of Wyoming. Brenda Blumer of Hudsonville, David Shields of Newaygo and William Shields of Newaygo.

Honoring Bob’s wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
