Robert L. Bardwell, age 67, of Byron Center and Sandy Pines, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital after a courageous fight with heart disease.
The son of Harrison & Lois (Reynolds) Bardwell, he was born May 01, 1949 in Grand Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian Bardwell; and brother, Harry Bardwell.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Sally Bardwell; children, Erin (Greg) Patrick, Shawn O’Hara, Jennifer (Sam) Kamal, Tracy Bardwell, and Rob Bardwell; grandchildren, Callahan, Quinn, Aubree, Miley Patrick, Jesse Mills, Thomas, Ryan, Connell O’Hara, Payton, Kameron Kamal, Neeley, Noodin, and Niiwin Bardwell; sisters, Jane Olejniczak, Mary Szyszlowski, and Joan Vanderpan; and brothers, Raymond and David Bardwell.
A celebration of Roberts life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25th at The American Legion, 133 44th St. Grand Rapids.
Honoring his wish, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.

Dear Sal,
I am so sorry for your loss of your husband. What an incredible up and down journey you have had to encounter with his health the last couple of years! You are one strong lady!!! You are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult transition in life.
