Robert Francis "Bob" Calverley, age 83, of Edmore, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. The son of William & Helen (Alison) Calverley, he was born on May 23, 1935 in Highland Park. After graduating high school, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army and while on leave, on December 15, 1954, in Berkley, he married Kathleen Jane Moore.
Following his return from the service, Bob joined his family heating business for the next sixteen years until he moved to Vestaburg where he established Vestaburg Heating & Cooling in 1972. He retired after a 46 year career in the heating and cooling business. Bob loved spending time with his family and watching it grow… and was greatly anticipating the coming birth of another great-grandchild. He loved his country, was a true Patriot, and a proud Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and ten brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife of almost 64 years, Kathie Calverley of Edmore; their daughter, Kathleen & Tom Fox of San Mateo, Florida; three sons, Robert & Mary Beth Calverley of Riverdale, William & Tonyia Calverley of Ovid, and Daniel & Patti Calverley of Vestaburg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family is from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, 1051 E.
