Rita M. Ashbaugh, age 51, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital.
The daughter of James & Maxine (Sims) Ashbaugh, she was born on August 30, 1962 in Grand Rapids.
Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.

A memorial service in Rita’s honor will be held at Crossfire Church in Cedar Spring at 2pm on Friday, February 28, 2014.
May you rest in peace my beautiful friend. You cared for so many of God’s creatures and creations. I will forever remember you whenever I see the beauty of nature’s bounty, and the innocence in an animal’s eyes. Our friendship was one of a kind; one that I will cherish forever. Love to you always…
How thankful we were to know you from the very first time of meeting. We saw you blossom as you came more intimately acquainted with your Father God and accepted the love we as a church family had for you. We will hold to every sweet memory we have of you til we meet when you welcome us to our heavenly home. Til then we are blessed to know the joy of your forever home with Daddy God.
I will cherish the way God cross my path with Rita into my life path at Crossfire Ministries Church. Rita always had the smile that only God could give. She was so infinite for her love for the Lord of her life. I remember one day after church she just beaming with the enjoyment of her newest on life in the Lord. When she got to bible study, she was as if a young child soaks every word she heard of the Lord.
Rita I thank God for crossing our path and cannot wait to be in Heaven were time will not end…because your time we spent on earth was too short…Love and Miss you friend and sister in Christ.
