Richard Manus "Rick" Brown, age 66, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at his home. The son of Manus Voyle & Gracie Ellen (Allen) Brown, he was born on June 9, 1953 in Lakeview and retired from Tower Automotive after 30 years of service.
Living near Baldwin Lake most of his life, Rick appreciated time spent on the water fishing, sailing, or just cruising on the pontoon. He also loved racing and together with his family they owned and raced "Family Affair" at dirt track races.
On May 14, 1989, in Stanton, he married Charisse Renee Wright and together they enjoyed 18 years of marriage until Charisse passed away on September 17, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers and sisters, Larry Allen, Mary Ann Mears, Johnny Allen, Delores Alguire, and Donnie Brown.
Surviving are his children, Erica & Mark VandenHout of Lowell, and Adam & Janette Brown of Greenville; four grandchildren, Hunter VandenHout, Garrett VandenHout, and Seth VandenHout, all of Lowell, and Jusiah Vandenberg of Greenville; a sister, Linda & Jerry Pace of Greenville; his girlfriend, Sharon Miller of Lowell; his children's mother, Penny Houck of Newaygo; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Ada Bible Church-Cascade Campus, 8899 Cascade Road S.E., Ada, with a time of food and fellowship following. Honoring Rick's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Rick was one of my neighbors for many years when I was a kid. I spent so much time at his house with his kids (Erica & Adam). Rick was such a great guy & he will be sorely missed.-á
Christopher & I want to send our thoughts and prayers to all of you. “Uncle Rick” as I called him was such a loving kind hearted man.
