Richard Lyle Post was born on August 3, 1943, in Lansing, Michigan, and graduated to glory on September 24, 2016, at home in Fenton, Missouri.

Richard was a loving husband, devoted father, faithful servant, loyal friend, and honorable soldier.  He was saved by God's grace at the age of 16 at the Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Lansing, Michigan, where he served as the Junior Church Department director for over 25 years. 

After retirement, Richard moved with his wife, Kerry, to Stanton, Michigan, where they joined the Beth Haven Baptist Church in Sheridan.  He was a faithful member, and servant for 15 years.  His hobbies included fishing, collecting sports cards, and "hustling" tickets at Michigan State University for 30 years.  Richard served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War for which he was decorated with the Bronze Star.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, William and Frances Post; a  brother, Mike Post; an infant daughter, Suzy Kaye Post; and his beloved wife, Kerry, on August 22, 2015. 

Richard is survived by a daughter, Wendy & Rev. Sam Robinson; his siblings, Mary and Tony Quintieri, Bill and Jeanie Post, Terry and Marie Post, Peggy and Ray Wood, John Post;  and by a host of extended family members, friends, and fellow veterans.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Beth Haven Baptist Church, 1158 W Carson City Road (M-57), Sheridan, with the Rev. Kevin Crowell, officiating.

    Wendy, I am sorry to hear of your Father’s passing, and your Mother’s. I wish I could have been there for both of the services. Your parents were such faithful servants and Godly influences. I have so many good memories of them as a young girl. You and your family are in my prayers. If you ever need anything, please let me know.
