Richard Joseph "Rick" Lawens, age 66, of Edmore, passed away Wednesday morning, May 15, 2019 in Belding under the loving care of family, friends, and Spectrum Health Hospice.
The son of Richard Francis & Helen Loretta (Parmalee) Lawens, he was born on December 10, 1952 in Mt. Pleasant and had worked as a truck driver. Rick enjoyed golfing, hiking, and reading.
Surviving are his parents, Richard F. & Helen Lawens of Six Lakes; a brother, Tim & Louann Lawens of Stanton; four sisters, Catherine Sower of Six Lakes, Robin & Larry Taylor of Norton Shores, Rose Simones of Six Lakes, and Lucinda & Dennis Lyles of Rothbury; special friends, Mike & Donna Johnson of Belding — who graciously opened their home to Rick and were his caregivers in his final illness; and several nieces and nephews.

I’m sorry to hear that Rick had passed away, He did leave behind 2 children, a son Tribben James lawens and a daughter Samantha Jean Angeline (Lawens). May he rest in peace and we all will see him again some day in GOD’s house in Heaven
