Rev. Lemar Hill, age 68, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 surrounded by family.

The son of Willie & Jessie (Taylor) Hill, he was born December 13, 1947 in Portage, MO.

Lemar was the founder of House of Prayer Ministry, and his passion and dream was helping the homeless. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Arlene; and loving family. “We will miss him, forever in our hearts”.

Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. S.E. at 36th St. (one block west of Eastern Ave.), Grand Rapids, where memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, with light refreshments to follow.

    my heart is grieving for the loss of my most beloved uncle, You showed me your love countless times. There were days when you would just check in on me, I will never forget you. My God bless all your children and watch over them for you; like you did for me. Rest in peace!!!!!!!
