Raymond Clyde Topping, age 87, of Caledonia, went to be with his Lord and Savior in his eternal home on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 while surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Clarence & Grace (Coulter) Topping, he was born on September 23, 1930 in Des Moines, IA.  Raymond proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Raymond is survived by the love of his life and wife of 62 yrs, Linda, their son Michael & Laury Topping, daughter Tammy & Randy Sullivan, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are his brothers James & Loretta and John & Janice, and sisters Nancy Batdorff and Marilyn & Jerry Mull. Raymond was preceded in death by his son Raymond John Topping. 

Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was the joy of his life that he shared side by side with Linda.  After retiring, Raymond and Linda enjoyed 25 years of traveling all over the country.  If you told him where you were going, he would probably tell you the most scenic way to get there.  Raymond also had a passion for golfing. 

He will be forever missed and always in our hearts. Those who had the honor of knowing Raymond will remember him for his laughter, a fun travel story and a good song. Raymond could have an entire room listening and holding on to every word of his stories.  

A celebration of Raymond’s life will take place at a later date.
