Norma Jane Levander, age 84, formerly of Flushing and Marquette, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011 at the home of her daughter, under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Michigan.

The daughter of Earl & Esther Josephine McFarland (Norman) Kribs, she was born on January 25, 1927 in Flint and was a teacher for the Flint Public School system for 20 years.
Norma was active in the Mormon Church later in life. She had many, many cherished friends. In spite of her health problems, her wish to remain independent was astonishing. Her intelligent conversations and sense of humor will be missed by all.

Surviving are her son, Norman (Kim) Levander of Mt. Morris; and two daughters, Christine Levander of Grand Rapids and Caaren Levander of Mackinaw City; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Ralph, and her eldest son, Carl.

Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest with her husband and son in Flint. Arrangements were entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, Grand Rapids.
