Mildred R. Dykstra, age 91, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at her daughter's home near Sheridan.  The daughter of Cornelius & Florence Anna (Zylema) Korhorn, she was born on April 25, 1925 in Walker.  On July 9, 1948 she married Andrew Dykstra, who passed away on June 28, 1977.  She was also preceded in death by her parents;  and five sisters.   

Surviving are two daughters, Diane Dykstra of Crystal, and Linda & Matt Brooms of Sheridan;  three sisters, Dorothy Heydenberg (her twin), Helen Debeck, and Florence Rademacher;  a brother, Cornelius & Martha Korhorn; four grandchildren, Cheryl & Jeremy Gillson, Amy & Randy Rosendall, Shelby Brooms, and Andrew Dykstra;  four great granchildren, Alyssa Gillson, Jason Shaffer, Emma Gillson, and Brynleigh Rosendall;  her "adopted" grandson, Ross & Felicia McInerney and their children, Draven and Meya;  and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with a time of food and fellowship immediately following.  The Rev. Ken Harger, retired pastor of Shiloh Community Church, will officiate and burial will take place privately at Jamestown Cemetery.
