Michael Thomas Hernly, 55, of Lansing, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Hospice House of Mid Michigan, under the care of Sparrow Hospice.
The son of Duane & Barbara (Sylvester) Hernly, he was born May 1, 1963 in Sarnia, Canada.

My heart & sympathy go out to Duane, Shelly and Missy on Mike’s passing. I hope the feeling of loss is soon filled with fond memories of Mike, many of which I still have of my cousin.
I remember well when Barb & Duane first brought Mike to visit, and at 7 years old I was enamored with him, this tiny new baby boy and soon began babysitting which continued through my jr high school years, when I’d take them to the Hunter Park pool. He was quite proud of his fearless jumps from the HIGH Diveboard, which I wouldn’t even dare! This was supplemented with many trips to the tracks when he raced in the kid’s circuit with a car that he worked on with his proud Dad, Duane.
Lot’s of fond memories. He will be remembered.
