Michael David Devroy, age 57, of Newaygo, passed away peacefully at home with his son David by his side.  

Michael was the greatest son, brother, father, grandfather and friend.  He loved being outside, whether he was feeding the birds, working in the garden or getting his hands greasy.  No matter what Michael was doing, he would always try to help others.  Michael would light up any room he walked into with his one of a kind personality.  He also had a love for eagles. 

Michael is survived by his mother, Christeen Devroy of Newaygo; his children Amanda Devroy of Newaygo, Michael & Jessica Devroy of White Cloud, and David Devroy of Newaygo; grandchildren Bianca, Alanah, Brayden, Seth, Delilah, Jaycen, and Pyper; brother Rich & Sandy Devroy of Newaygo and Greg & Patty Devroy of Armada; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by many angels including his sister Carrie Kuikstra and grandmother Elsie Felix.  

Please join Michael’s family for a Celebration of Life on October 20, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m at Faith Community Church, 610 Green St., Big Rapids, MI.

Donations may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.

    I remember me and papa had a lot of fun memories, he was really really nice grandpa we will always have him with us. We had fixed cars played cards he let me ride y quad me and him split wood we laughed together in loving memories of my grandpa

    Dear papa,
    I will always love you forever and always. I miss the times we had together I miss you not being here. I remember we used to laugh make paper airplanes out of newspapers and we used to play games all the time. You helped me with my homework. I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH PAPA R.I.H Forever and always.

    Mike was truly a salt of the earth kind of guy. I knew him from a Day Care my wife had where she watched Mike`s Grand Kids. He was just a good guy in every way. You run across people in life who you just see they are good. Mike was.
