My Journey’s Just Begun
Don’t think of me as gone away-                                                        my journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets-
this earth is only one. . .
Just think of me as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how I must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of me as living
in the hearts of those I’ve touched. . .
for nothing loved is ever lost-
and I was loved so much.

Come to Me

God saw you were getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you
And whispered, “Come To Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

I loved Melissa. I grew up in the same community near Detroit and knew exactly where she had come from when we first met, as I’m sure the Lord had intended when he sent her to me.

Missy will be loved, remembered, and her life cherished in the Spectrum Health community.

Peace be with you my dear.

I met Missy in 2008, when my boys and I became her neighbor. We became friends and my son Gavin and her two boys Jamie and Jeffery became best of buddies. Missy was a faboulus mother, fun, devoted and filled with love. She was so kind she always included my son Gavin, if it wasn’t swimming in her back yard, they were off on some awesome adventure to a carnival or parade. Missy was truly a beautiful women and we were blessed to have shared in her life. Gavin and I will deeply miss her. We hold every memory close to our hearts.

Missy was such a beautiful soul. She was always very caring and so very compassionate. She loved all people, but most of all loved her boys, Jeffrey and James. I met her when she was around 12 years old and she became like the little sister i never had and always wanted. She was always so happy and fun, with a beautiful smile. Later, when we got older, we even lived across the street from each other. She has been a life long great friend and I will miss her dearly.
