Mrs. May Marie Hallman, age 81, passed away Wednesday evening, March 17, 2010 at Mercy Health Partners-Hackley Campus in Muskegon.

She was born in Lakeside, MI at the family home on July 22, 1928 to James and Amelia (Pedersen) Brow, the youngest of six children. She married Wendell Hallman on June 14, 1952. Mrs. Hallman had been employed at CWC Textron as a payroll clerk for 30 years until retiring in 1990. May lettered in Muskegon High School tennis, softball and basketball. In her younger days she enjoyed league bowling and weekends with family and friends at Big Blue Lake.

May is survived by her husband, Wendell, who took loving care of her these past years, a son Kirk who inherited her love of music, daughter-in-law Dawn, and two granddaughters Amelia and Carson. She was preceded in death by her sisters Lillian Brow, Irene Kaylor, Catherine Johnson, June Billings and one brother, Roy Brow. May will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Lakeside United Methodist Church 2160 Crozier Avenue, Muskegon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1740 Village Dr., Suite 336, Muskegon, MI 49442.
