Marilyne M. Linderman, age 87, formerly of Tacoma Lake, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016. The daughter of Noel & Aileen (Blakeslee) Nelson, she was born on February 22, 1929 in Muskegon and grew up in Rockford, where she graduated from high school.
On July 21, 1950, in Grand Rapids, she married Fay A. Linderman, and together they raised three sons and enjoyed 56 years of marriage until Fay passed away on July 29, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Guy Arnold Linderman, Sr. on February 3, 2013; a grandson, Grant Linderman on June 27, 2015; and two brothers, Keith Nelson and Dennis Nelson.
Marilyne had worked as a school aide and bus driver for the Montcalm Intermediate School District and enjoyed camping and traveling, flowers and gardening, and was a life long animal lover and advocate… but most of all she delighted in time spent with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Craig & Barbara Linderman of Grand Rapids, and Douglas Linderman of Florida; two sisters, Ann Brown and Vicki Taylor; a brother-in-law, Jan & Dee Linderman; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family is from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with a sharing of memories beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will take place privately at Riverside Cemetery, Langston.
Instead of flowers, Marilyne would have appreciated contributions in her memory to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (https://www.aspca.org/) Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
