Mrs. Alice Marie Jury, age 101, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday afternoon, January 17, 2015 from Metron of Greenville with her sons at her side and under the care of Hospice of Michigan. The daughter of William Austin & Edith Louise (Dodge) Kitchen, she was born on June 25, 1913 in Laingsburg.
On March 10, 1938, in Belding, she married Norris Leonard Jury and together they raised six children and enjoyed sixty-three years of marriage. They were long-time members of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenville where Marie had the distinction of being the most senior member of the congregation. In their retirement years they enjoyed spending the winters in Texas. Marie enjoyed fishing, raising cocker spaniels, embroidery and knitting, but most of all she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hoyt Shotwell in 1937, and N. Leonard Jury on March 28, 2001; a son, Duane Shotwell; two daughters, Karen Hart-Pringle and Caroline Ann Zeigler; a grandson, Lonnie Shotwell; and a great-granddaughter, Cameron Hart.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Clare Shotwell and Eugene & Vickie Jury, all of Greenville; a daughter and two sons-in-law, Charlene & Scott Feehan of New Philidelphia, Ohio and Tom Pringle of Greenville, seventeen grandchildren; and many, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, and on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 12501 Montcalm Avenue N.E., Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Her pastor, the Rev. R. Mark Shaw, will officiate and a luncheon will follow the service. Burial will take place in the spring at Hillside Cemetery, Entrican.

Marie has graduated from this world and is now dancing with her husband in the presence of Her LORD and Savior! Praying that her family has peace and assurance that they too one day may join Marie in celebration of the JOY OF THE LORD, with eternal life with Jesus Christ Our Savior.
