Marian Ann Penney, age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 23, 2018, surrounded at home with her family. 

She was preceded in death by two of her children, Kenneth Penney and Joann Smith; her parents, H. Raymond and Irene Blair; two sisters, Margaret Rogers and Eileen Belser. 

She will be lovingly rememebered by her daughters, Rhonda (Mark) Noren and Irene (James) Buhl;  six grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Smith, James Kieda, Jeremy Smith, Kristy Kieda, Jacqueline Thurow and Kimberly (fiance, Connor Ouwinga) Buhl; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Lynn (Michael) Taheny; brother, Raymond (Sonya) Blair; a nephew, nieces and extended family.

Per Marian’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of her Life will take place on November 3, 2018, at Life Stream Free Methodist Church, 800 Maryland Ave., Grand Rapids, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Russ Atherton officiating.  A private burial will take place with family at a later date at Kent Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, Marian would be honored to have memorial donations be made to Mel Trotter Ministries or to The Salvation Army, two ministries close to her heart.
