Lynda Sue Iler, age 64, of St. Johns, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 27, 2018 under the loving care of her family and Sparrow Home Hospice at her sister Sharee's home in Maple Rapids.  

The daughter Melvil Gordon & Elaine (Hath) Iler, she was born on September 21, 1954 in Lansing and worked as a waitress and bartender for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  a step-mother, Pearl Iler;  a sister, Margaret Small;  a brother, Tom Iler;  and a half-sister, Fannie Iler.  

Surviving are a daughter, Melissa Steele;  a granddaughter, Destiny;  one sister, Mary Iler;  a brother, Jim Iler;  three half-sisters, Harriet Iler, Sharee & Nick Atkins, and Janice Bennington;  two step-sisters, Sue Hopkins and Yvonne Helton;  two step-brothers, Edward & Angie Sleight and Chuck & Kim Hopkins;  several nieces and nephews;  and many special friends.  

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering is being planned for a later date.

    Just check in on us once in awhile mom Destiny is going to be such a beautiful young lady and I’m very sorry that you’re not going to be here to see it I miss you
