Loren Charles Wohlford, age 83, of Belding, passed away early Monday morning, March 19, 2018 at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice.  The son of Clarence Leon & Nellie (Mulder) Wohlford, he was born on November 1, 1934 in Montpelier, Ohio. 

A proud veteran, Loren served during the Korean Conflict era first in the U.S. Navy and then in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion.

On September 1, 1989, in Ionia, he married Margaret Elizabeth Zaboukos-Nichol and together they enjoyed 28 years of marriage.  Loren retired from the Attwood Corporation in Lowell after 22 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Wohlford;  his step-children, James Nichol, Jeremy & Kari Nichol, and Tammy & Roger Doty;  eight grandchildren, Justin Holliday, Matthew Holliday, Wade Doty, Alec Doty, Caleb Nichol, Tyler Nichol, Chloe Nichol, and Logan Nichol;  a sister, Dorothy Reese;  and several nieces and nephews.
