Linda Lou Mahoney, 56, passed away peacefully Monday April 9, 2012. She was born in Muskegon MI on October 10, 1955 to Frank & Elizabeth “Betty” (Judd) Hoisington. On August 21, 1999 she married John H. Mahoney and they shared many wonderful times together.

She was a member of Clay Banks United Methodist Church in Montague. Linda was a CNA and worked in several different venues during her career. She was a kind and caring person, always offering her love and support to her family and many friends. She enjoyed ceramics, and gardening.

She is survived by her devoted husband John H Mahoney; her three sons Michael Burgess, Frank Burgess, and Andy (Angie) Burgess; her three step children Janette (Jason) Kadzban, Tonia Mahoney Pate, and John “Bud” (Angela) Mahoney; her granddaughter Cheyenne Brooks whom she and John were raising; three step grandchildren; two sisters Sharon (Walt) Riley and Debbie Madole; brother in law Ken (Mary) Mahoney, sister in laws Linda (Tony) Prus and Sherri (Michael) Jacob; and many beloved Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Betty, and a brother Bobbie.

A Memorial of her Life will be held Friday April 13th at 2 pm at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church on Henry St. in Norton Shores. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
