Leslie Ann Hammond, age 37, of Gowen, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Spectrum Health-Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids after a brief illness. The daughter of Marlene Ruth Huey & Robert Boyce, she was born on May 10, 1980 in Greenville and was a 1998 graduate of Greenville High School.
On September 11, 1999, at Greenville Community Church, she married Donald H. Hammond II and together they enjoyed almost 18 years of marriage and raised one daughter. Leslie had worked at the former Citizens Choice Credit Union in Greenville and enjoyed styling hair as well as helping to plan weddings and celebrations, but her greatest joy was in time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a maternal aunt, Alice Powers; a brother-in-law, Christopher Hammond, Sr.; and her father-in-law, Donald Hammond, Sr.. Surviving are her husband, Don Hammond II; their daughter, Ashley Marie Hammond; her twin sister, Lisa Marie & Ronald Dean, and their daughter, Layla; her mother-in-law, Teresa Hammond; and many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation with the family is from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, and from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Greenville Community Church,6596 Vining Road, Greenville, where memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. A luncheon will follow the ceremony.

I just learned of Leslie’s passing, I am so sorry to read this. She helped my brother Steve and his wife Nancy a lot when there was no one there. She had such a kind heart and will always be in my thoughts.
