Larry Lyle Bradley, age 78, of Vestaburg, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at home under the care of his family after a long battle with liver disease.  The son of Chancy Lyle & Lillian Lucille (Gossett) Bradley, he was born on September 9, 1941 in Riverdale.

On June 18, 1960, in Riverdale, he married Janet Kaye Wing and together, they raised five children, enjoyed 59 years of marriage, and had been  members of the First Baptist Church of Vestaburg where Larry taught Sunday School.  Larry spent most his working years in the telecommunications field as an equipment installer for General Telephone Company.

Blessed with mechanical skills and the ability to fix just about anything, he was always repairing something for family and friends.  He enjoyed flying, having earned his private pilots license and restored five airplanes over the years.  After his liver transplant, he and Janet enjoyed traveling, went on  ten ocean cruises, and delighted in country-western and square dancing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandmother, Lena Elizabeth Gossett (who helped raise him);  a son, Roger Lee Bradley;  and a sister, Charlene Mae Bradburn.

Surviving are his wife, Janet Bradley of Vestaburg; three daughters, Patti & Dan Calverley of Vestaburg, Becky & Michael Buschle, and Melissa & Kevin Hills; a son, Matthew & Angie  Bradley, all of Riverdale; thirteen grandchildren;  and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m on Tuesday and from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at at Community Baptist Church of Alma, 1525 W. Superior Street, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25 with Pastor Randy Brandon of Community Baptist Church of Alma officiating.  Burial will be held at Ferris Center Cemetery near Vestaburg, with a luncheon following the graveside ceremony back at the Community Baptist Church of Alma.
