LaDene Mayberry, age 92, of Bay City, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Beacon Hill at Eastgate surrounded by family. The daughter of Winson & Bernice (Ackerman) Miller, she was born on July 11, 1925 in Lima, Ohio. 

She was known for her beautiful gardens, and she was an accomplished quilter and seamstress among many other talents. She was very active in her church, taking care of altar flowers and gardens for many years, and helping with the Mary and Martha Circle. She and Keith were also active members of the Good Times Dance club. She was loving, caring and fun. LaDene was a tremendous friend and touched many lives. 

LaDene was preceded in death by her husband, C. Keith Mayberry; parents, Winson & Bernice Miller; and brothers, Wayne, Marvin “Bud”, and James. Surviving are her children, Sue Nieusma, Jolene (Don) Hay, and David; brothers, Max (Pat), and Jerry (Aunalee); sisters-in-law, Bernita Miller, and Donna Mayberry; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the First Congregational Church, UCC, 900 Sixth St., Bay City, where a visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
