Mr. Kenneth Barry Wooton, age 62, of Battle Creek, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away early Saturday morning, October 31, 2009 at Evergreen Manor in Battle Creek.

The son of Aino Geraldine (Crane) & James Ralph Wooton, Jr., he was born on January 16, 1947 in Holland, Michigan. Following his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Ticonderoga during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include two sisters, Gail Collins of Kentwood, and Joyce Delahay of San Antonio, Texas.

Funeral services, with military honors, are at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 from the Chapel of St. Paul at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 28th Street and Patterson Avenue, Grand Rapids. Burial will follow privately at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
