    Dear Katie,
I have fond memories of you as a girl. We were so close as a group of elementary school girls at Woodland. You had a beautiful smile with amazing dimples I envied. May God lift you up and hold your family in His arms as they move through the next days, weeks, months, and years without you at their sides. You are and will be missed.

Katie, our friendship began as young kids, at Woodland Elementary. I have some hilarious pictures of us….ohhhh the hair cuts and colored glasses, the wild outfits we all sported in those days. You were beautiful, even then, even when we were silly kids trying to be cool. You remained beautiful through all the years Ive known you….inside and out. You will be missed. Your family is in my prayers. I pray, that someday, the memory of your smile, gets them through their toughest days. RIP Katie.

Katie was a special gift to this planet. Her light shined so bright within, that I bet it could be seen from outer space with the right technology. We only knew each other for a short while, but she has impacted my life forever. I am still in shock from the news of her passing. I pray her legacy here on Earth will be remembered by her loving spirit and not by her battles. Our family weeps with her friends and family. We are praying for you all. God bless you!

I’m so sorry. Katie was a smiley, happy lady and loved her family dearly.

I wish I had known her passion for the water – I definitely would have helped her learn to dive and enjoy the beauty of the underwater world.

God Bless you and keep you, Katie.
