Kathleen Mary Sobel (Sucky) passed away January 30, 2015 after an extended illness. Kathy was a dedicated nursing professional for over 50 years. She cared for patients in many different settings, but excelled as an operating room surgical nurse. Kathy loved going to the library and picking up a stack of books to read. Her biggest love was surf fishing with her husband, Andy.

Kathy was preceded in death by beloved Husband, Andrew and a son-in-law, Ray Rowden. Surviving are her children; Margaret (Thomas) Litts, Michael (Cynthia) Sobel, Catherine Sobel, James Sobel, Thomas Sobel-Rowden. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. at the St. Basil Catholic Church, 513 Monroe Blvd, South Haven, MI 49090.
Family will receive visitors in the South Lobby of St. Basils between 10-11 a.m. prior to the mass.

The rosary will be prayed for Kathy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 at the church.

Donations may be made in Kathy’s honor to the Salvation Army or the charity of your choice. Honoring her wishes cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care.
