Karis J. Way (Holtrop), age 69, of Wyoming, born Feb. 15, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, quietly, and without pain on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Byron Center. Karis had worked in the insurance field for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley W. & Eva M. (Parrish) Way. Surviving are her daughter, Susan (David) Billock; a granddaughter, Jennifer Billock, all of Wyoming; two brothers, Gary (Barbara) Way of Caledonia, and Dale Way of California; two nephews, Aaron and Brandon; two nieces, Monica and Vanessa; life long friend, Judy Sarkozi, and many other dear friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at her daughter’s home from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30th. Entombment will take place privately at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Karis had a great love of elephants and would have appreciated, instead of flowers, donations in her memory to The Elephant Sanctuary (http://www.elephants.com/). 

Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care.
