Karolyn Jane (Blevins) Guthrie, 45, of Warsaw, Ind., formerly of Cadillac, had her life come to a peaceful end on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born on July 11, 1965 in Cadillac to Robert and Mary Blevins (Moore). Kari graduated from Cadillac High School in 1983, where she played basketball through high school. She furthered her education at Ferris State, graduating with honors with a bachelors degree in psychology.

She had worked at many organizations for children and adults, as she had the care and kindness to be there for others. Among helping people when she could, she also was an avid book reader, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting as both of her grandmothers had taught her to do.

She is survived by two daughters, Whitney Lenna and Paige MacKenzie Moore of Indiana; her parents, Robert and Mary Blevins of Cadillac; sisters, Kathleen Jo Blevins of Cadillac and Kristine Joanne Blevins of Lake City; many nieces and nephews, Kyle Blevins, Katelynn Burkett, Kaleb Burkett, Kelsey Burkett of Cadillac, and Jarrett Blevins of Lake City; cousins, Mike and Anne Moore; and her two special dogs.

She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Russell and Gerda Blevins; maternal grandparents, Robert and Margaret Moore; aunt, Russella Blevins; and uncles, Jon Moore and Fred Blevins.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date with burial in Selma Township, with Deacon Jim Siler officiating.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Selma Township Fire Department
