Joyce Darlene Rautio, age 76, of Six Lakes, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at home under the loving care of her family and Heartland Hospice.  The daughter of Edward Coon & Gladys Evelyn (Hale) Myers, she was born on June 9, 1940 in Pleasanton Township.

She lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren…  showing off pictures to every person she could. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and going for Chinese. It was very important to her to make a donation to the Roofsit for Kids each year to help children affected by neglect and abuse.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  a son, Todd Allen; and brothers, George Myers, Charles Myers, Stanley Myers, Donald Myers, Jack Myers, and Earl Myers .

Surviving are her children, William Rautio of Six Lakes, Robin (Kurt) Peterson of Kettle River, Minnesota, James (Kara) Rautio of Six Lakes, and John (Susie) Rautio  of Grand Rapids;  grandchildren, Nikki (Lee) Preston, Kari (Troy) Pranger, Megan Peterson, Amanda Peterson, Rachel Peterson, Christina (Joel) Rodriguez, Brandon Rautio, Mary Rautio; great grandchildren, Michael, Corbin, Marshall, Audra, Kaylee, Aaden and Casen; and three sisters and a brother, Elsie (Myers) Petersen, Betty (Myers) Knudsen, James Myers and Judy (Myers) Girven.

Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and no public services are planned.  Instead of flowers, Joyce would have appreciated contributions in her memory to the Children’s Trust Fund of Michigan or to a charity of the donor's choice.
