Joseph Timothy "Timmy" Cotter, age 68, of Coral, formerly of Greenville, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Amazing Grace Adult Foster Care in Coral under the care of hospice.  The son of Joseph & Geraldine (Friend) Cotter, he was born on November 6, 1950 in Chelsea, Massachusetts.

Despite the disabilities Timmy was born with, he lived a life of love and joy.  For many years he lived at Harris' Adult Foster Care on North Lafayette Street in Greenville and more recently made his home at Amazing Grace Adult Foster Care in Coral.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Geraldine & Frank Breen, and his father and step-mother, Joseph & Louise Cotter.  Survivors include a sister, Janine Waddell;  a brother, David Cotter;  and many friends and special caregivers.

Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.  The Rev. Eddie Briel will officiate and burial will take place privately at Forest Home Cemetery in Greenville.
