John Thrush, 89, of Greenville passed away Thursday morning, August 17, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Alma.  

The son of Leroy and Minnie (Doyle) Thrush, he was born July 5, 1928 in St. Johns.

In his spare time John enjoyed working on clocks and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 67 years, Joyce Kuhns. Surviving are his children, Jon & Kim Thrush of St. Johns, Janie & Greg Willaman of Greenville, Jill & James Coleman of Greenville; along with seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place.

    Our thoughts and prayers for John. We became next door friends to John and Joyce in Arizona and have been in touch all these years. We visited them at their home in Greenville and have many happy memories of them. May God Bless both of them. Buzz & Phyllis Kendall

    John was a great “dad”. I’m glad I’ve been able to know him for almost 50 years. He had a fun sense of humor and occasionally let us get away with a thing or two. Thank you Janie for sharing your Dad with me.
