John Frederick Wert, 66, passed away, November 6, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center Gratiot. The son of Earl & Laura (Vogel) Wert, he was born on August 5, 1951, in Alma. 

John was a proud Veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharp Shooter M16 award.
