Joseph Marshall Joe Kronewitter, age 54, of rural Lakeview, passed away Friday morning, June 6, 2014 at his home under the loving care of his family and Heartland Hospice. The son of Howard Joel Joe & Kay Francis (Crankshaw) Kronewitter, he was born on February 28, 1960 in Fremont. Following high school Joe proudly served in the U.S. Navy and retired from naval service in 1992. He then worked as a truck driver and enjoyed woodworking and science fiction. His family will remember him for his love of all children, but especially his own children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Angela Kay (Powers) Kronewitter of Lakeview; his mother, Lynne Kronewitter of Maston Lake; his children, Jason Kronewitter of Montana, SPC Kenneth & Cassandra Kronewitter of Billings, Montana, Amanda Klein of Montana, and Jack Kronewitter at home; two step-children, Carolyn Robinson of Mt. Pleasant and Tommy Peoples of Grand Island, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Jazmyn Kronewitter, Edin Kronewitter, Devon Klein, Orin Monroe, Sammy Caron, and Jeffery Kronewitter; two step-grandchildren, Chris Coffel and James Coffel; four brothers, Cork Kronewitter of Texas, Jeff & Candy Kronewitter of Ohio, Larry Kronewitter of Michigan, and Kevin & Tracy Kronewitter of Maryland. Also surviving are eight sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Maple Valley Complex, 239 W. First Street, Trufant, with military honors rendered by the United States Navy.
