Joan Krieger Sinsabaugh
(November 11, 1930- January 5, 2014)

Joan Annabelle Krieger Sinsabaugh passed away at home in Grand Rapids, Michigan on the morning of January 5, 2014, with her loving daughters on her side.
A private memorial in her honor will be held later this spring.
Joan was born in her family’s farm house in Bainbridge, being the fifth child of Nelson and Rose Hasse Krieger. She was an accomplished pianist, nurse, devoted Christian and loving mother. Joan attended a one room school house in Bainbridge then graduated from Watervliet High School in 1948. She was a 1952 graduate of West Suburban School of Nursing, affiliated with Wheaton College.
Joan worked in the nursery at Watervliet Community Hospital and delivery room at Benton Harbor’s
Mercy Hospital.
Surviving Joan are her four daughters, Diane Sinsabaugh (Grand Rapids) , Janice Belanger (Whitmore Lake), Ginger MacDonald (Kunming, China) and Ellen Beek (Boyne City); three grandchildren: David, Zeek and Chloe Beek. Surviving siblings are Addie Zemmer (Mattawan), Dr. Norman Krieger (Milford), and
Joyce Griffin (Watervliet).
Joan was preceded in her death by her husband Richard Sinsabaugh, and her siblings Arlene and Charles. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are being given to the United Church Outreach Ministry Food Pantry, 1311 Chicago Drive SW, Wyoming, Mi 49509. The family of Joan Sinsabaugh wants to thank the Faith Hospice of Grand Rapids and Covenant Village.
