Jean Marie Lance-Anderson, age 48, of Greenville, passed away early Friday morning, Nov. 24, 2006 at Spectrum Health-Blodgett Campus, East Grand Rapids. The daughter of Donald and Betty (Collier) Lance, she was born on Jan. 25, 1958 in Ionia, Michigan. A devoted mother, she found her greatest joy in her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and watching movies.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Lance in 1972.

Surviving are her mother, Betty Lance of Belding; five children, Jessica Cope & Joe Merritt, and Adam Cope & Marcia Armstrong, all of Greenville, Nick Wieland & Latara Gladding of Muir, Richard Clark II & Shelly Sower of Belding, and Justin Clark at home in Greenville; three brothers, Donald & Debbie Lance of Ionia, Jim Lance, and Dennis Lance, both of Belding; a sister, Cheryl & Joe Curler of Palo; five grandchildren, Tristin and Alexis Wells, Mackenzie and Devin Cope, and Hayden Gladding. Jeans children would like to extend a sincere thanks to their moms special friends, Beverly Ricks and Jeff Henrichsen… who have contributed an enormous amount of love and support during these past years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with burial following at Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Pastor Joel Heron of Greenville Community Church will officiate. Visitation is on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where envelopes for memorial contributions will be available.
