Janet Brewington, age 70, of Lincoln Lake, formerly of Greenville, passed away at home on Monday, May 20, 2013. The daughter of Herbert Roy & Evelyn Bobbie (Taylor) Worthy, she was born on November 21, 1942 in Taylor. On October 24, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa she married Wallace R. Brewington and together they enjoyed nearly 45 years of marriage. She retired from the former Electrolux Home Products.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace Brewington on October 22, 2004; four brothers and sisters, Clyde Worthy, Marlene Giannetti, Beluah Gerwatowski, and Robert Worthy.
Surviving are her children, Wally & Renee Brewington of Rockford, Jeff & Darlene Brewington of Sand Lake, and Toby Dean & Kathy Brewington of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Teena Brewington, Jeff Brewington, Jr., Steve & June Brewington, Coty & Heather Youngs, Josh Brewington, Dakota Bewington, and Drew Dietz; six great-grandchildren, Hayley, Lily, Montana, Isaac, Coty Jr., and Andrew; eight brothers and sisters, Marvin Worthy, Marie DeAngelus, Sharron Worthy, Roy Worthy, JoAnne Rose, Becky McCarty, Gail LaFever, and Bill Worthy; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the First Congregational Church, 306 E. Main Street, Carson City, with a time of refreshments and fellowship immediately following the ceremony.
