Jane Elizabeth Shue-McCoy, age 82, formerly of Lansing, passed away Wednesday morning, April 25, 2018 with her family at her side.
The daughter of Walter J. & Josephine R. (Kolp) Miller, she was born on September 4, 1935 in Lansing. On May 24, 1952, in Lansing, she married Richard A. Shue and together they raised five children and enjoyed 38 years of marriage until Richard passed away on August 22, 1990. Jane also worked outside the home as a clerk at the former Knapp's Department Store and later as manager of the St. Vincent de Paul Society thrift store.
On March 26, 1994, in East Lansing, she married Thomas E. McCoy, who survives, along with her children, Gary & Janet Shue of Haslett, Leanne & James McKenzie of East Lansing, Joseph Shue of Cadillac, Michael Shue of Perry, Richard & Lisa Shue of Gowen, and Cyndi Dryer of Jackson. Also surviving are two brothers, Charles & Joanne Miller, and Gerald "Jerry" Haeck; fourteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren (with another due soon). She was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene VanCore.
Honoring her wishes, no services will be held and burial will take place at Laingsburg Cemetery. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions to either the Cancer Care Center at Munson Health-Cadillac or to Spectrum Health Hospice would be appreciated. I have very fond memories of Jane and I growing up and playing in the 700 block of South hayford.-á Later on marrying those 2 crazy guys from Holt our friendship lived on for several years great memories I hold dear Jane was a wonderful friend
