Jane E. Beebe, age 85, of Greenville, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 12, 2006 at home in Greenville under the loving care of her family and Hospice. The daughter of William H. & Myrtle E. (Jones) Graham, she was born on Nov. 27, 1920 in Alma. On July 31, 1937, in Indiana, she married Franklin Oscar Beebe. A devoted wife and mother, Jane was also a Girl Scout leader from 35 years, involved with 4-H for many years, was a member of the Rebecah Lodge, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. She had been a Foster Grandparent with the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District, had been a volunteer with the Montcalm County Commission on Aging, and recently attended the senior program at the Stanton facility for the Montcalm Area Agency on Aging.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Beebe in 1988; a son, Willard James Beebe in 1968; two granddaughters, Rebekah Jean in 1963, and Lucille Weicht in 1964; a grandson, Franklin James Moyers in 1972; her siblings, Ernie Graham, Elery Graham, Elwin Graham, Lucille Synder, Lillian Aylsworth, Leslie Graham, Jerry Spowl, and Clifford Graham.

Surviving are her children, Wilma Jean Gibson of Safety Harbor, Fla., Judith & Mathew Lukasiewicz of Fenwick, Janet Weicht of Charlotte, Sandra Kay Whitz of Safety Harbor, Fla., Leslie G. & Yvonne Beebe of Runaway Bay, Texas, and Robin Ann Petersen of Charlotte; a brother, Harry & Hazel Graham of Middletown, Ohio; many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Angel Care (especially Diana Eakin), the very caring staff at Spectrum Health United Memorial, the concerned and helpful staff at Metron of Greenville, the staff and volunteers of the Montcalm Area Agency on Aging, Hospice of Michigan, and Pastor Tom Hansen of Greenville Community Church.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, 2006 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Tom Hansen officiating. Honoring Mrs. Beebes wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will be at East Plains Cemetery near Hubbardston.
