Jacqueline "Jackie" Geldersma, age 68, born in Muskegon County on July 18, 1946 to John and Ann (Sokolowski) (Conklin) Braley passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at home in Sidney. She attended Bates School and then Ravenna High School where she graduated with honors and was a member of the National Honor Society for three of her four high school years.
She met and married John Geldersma and together they raised seven daughters. Jackie was a full time mother and part-time farmer. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed her garden, crocheting and crafting, but especially liked to disc the fields for John in the spring.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patricia Simkins; two baby sisters and two baby brothers. Surviving are her husband, John Geldersma of Sidney; their daughters, Danielle Geldersma of Cedar Springs, Kerri Reynolds of Winder, Georgia, Lisa Geldersma of Sidney, Kristy Geldersma of Sheridan, Jo Vorgias of Spring Lake, Joyce Sproul of Augusta, Georgia, and Janet Starns of Grand Haven; her grandchildren, Roy Burchfield Jr., Charles Laper III, Samantha Hutchings, Stephanie Eudy, Adam Rudicil, Jason Rudicil, Amy Rudicil, Elizabeth Thorington, Meagin Frisbie and Cory Frisbie; great grandchildren Madasyn, Chase, Cayden, Jeryn, Javelynn, Aubrey, Aiden, Dominik, Jerrick, Dallas, Audrey, Chloe, Charlotte and Lilya.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Gosh i miss you so much already….i spoke to you before u went and i told you how wonderful of a grandma u were to cory n i…..n our children…..i love you and always will…..i miss you sooooo much….i just wanted your mashed potatos n cherry cheesecake one last time….sooo good noone could get it right like you….i love you grandma
