Jack Gerard Nowack, Sr. age 67, of Greenville, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at home under the care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Jack Fairburn & Lillian Evelyn (Romanski) Nowack, he was born on April 27, 1950 in Grand Rapids. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Jack served during the Vietnam War era and following his honorable discharge, worked as a fire-fighter with the Grand Rapids Fire Department for twenty-seven years.

To Jack Jr. And Family your dad was a very special man. I called him Pop’s, he always called me SWEETIE. I spent alot of time with his children in my younger days at his house on Coit Ave. in Grand Rapids, and was very close to his grandkids Lisa, Shane & Katie. Pops sure did love his grandbabies. The many that he had. He will be so deeply missed. All the fish dinner meals and homemade coleslaw I had at his house. And greets at the fire station he worked at he will be so deeply missed.
