Hugh C. Bennett, age 67, of Ionia, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016.
The son of Hugh F. & Georgia Bennett, he was born on March 05, 1949 in St. Joseph. Hugh graduated in 1967 from Watervliet High School. He went on to get his B.S. in biology from Loyola University, Chicago, IL in 1971.
Hugh went on to be a licensed funeral director, paramedic, aircraft mechanic and auto salesman. His interest included flying, camping, hiking, guitar, Mozart and his dogs. He was a diverse man who knew a little bit about everything.
Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.

Chris, Thanks for the time I spent with you…almost 20 years! I am sorry it didn’t work out, but it’s like I was given a choice…my kids & grandkids or you. Why you chose not to be a part of my family, I have my guesses, but I guess that’s the way it had to be. Your dogs meant everything to you…they were your family and loved you very much! Linda
