A celebration of life is planned for Sunday September 9th from 1-4 p.m. at The Pines Golf Course, 5050 Byron Center Ave S.W., Wyoming, 49519.

Henry (Hank or “Hammer”) Lee Roe, Jr. was born on September 18, 1941. He left our world and all his ailments behind on July 8, 2018.

Hank was a loving, caring, likeable guy who knew no enemies.  He made friends wherever he went, from his years at Union High, his career at Steelcase,  on the golf course, and during retirement at The Villages and Leesburg, FL. He traveled around the country to play in amputee golf tournaments where he bonded with and mentored other amputee athletes of all ages.
Grieving him are wife, Judy Roe; his mother, Marjorie Roe; sister, Edie Mosley; brother, Alan Roe; and his beloved dog, Cali Ana.  He will be especially missed by his children Dennis (Karen) Roe, David (Mylena) Roe, Debra Myers, Donald (Terri) Roe, Darryl (Gretchen) Roe, Kim Plank, and Lyn Hutchison.  Also surviving are his grandchildren Elisha (Josh), Kristen (Max), Jared (Taryn), Jessica (Robert), Marc, Jake, Natalie, Derek, Taylor, Nicholas, Denny, Lauren, Tessa, Addison, along with 6 great-grandsons. His family will miss his good nature, sense of humor, love and guidance, and his smile. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Lee Roe, Sr., grandson Zachary Myers, and son-in-law Wayne Plank.
Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. To send a message of sympathy to the family, sign Henry’s online guestbook or to share a favorite memory, please visit: www.MichiganCremation.com
