Helen Irene Kelly, age 80, of Sumner, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 20, 2017 under the loving care of her family and Sparrow Home Hospice at her daughter's home in Sumner.

The daughter of John & Mabel (Johnson) Howe, she was born on April 26, 1937 in Sumner.  She married Bud Duane Kelly in 1959 and was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.  Helen loved her dogs and cats, was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and the Detroit Tigers. 

She was preceded in death by her parents;  her husband, Bud Kelly;  two brothers, Johnnie Howe and Junior Howe;  and a sister, Bessie Brauher.  Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Gail & Larry Curtis of Sumner;  a grandson, Brian & Traci Curtis of Elwell;  two great grandsons, Brian Curtis, Jr., and Brody Curtis, both of Elwell;  and a very special friend, Bev Clark of Alma.
