Gerald J. Robinson, III, age 61, of Ionia, passed away at home under the care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice, Thursday, May 17, 2018. The son of Gerald Jr. & Eloyce Marian (Guernsey) Robinson, he was born on February 7, 1957 in Ionia.
Gerald was a Corrections Officer with the Michigan Department of Corrections for 25 years. On January 1, 2014, in Ionia, he married Lisa Anne Fountain. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved camping, and his dog Halle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Artie.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa; two sons JR & Katie Robinson, and Dan Robinson; four daughters Valerie & Troy Day, Erin Robinson-Woods, Caitlin Robinson, Cydney Robinson; three stepdaughters Alexis & Zack Perry, Aleah Edwards, and Aleyse Edwards; fourteen (almost fifteen) grandchildren, Alley, Livie, Luke and Lowgan Day, Gerald, Camryn, Brady, Daniel, Bryce, and Caylee Robinson, Seth Woods, Jack Wickam, Rozlin and Liam Vasquez and new grandbaby due in November; two sisters Charlotte & Jack Rutz, and Lesa Miller; his father and mother in law Galen & Cheryl Fountain; a brother in law Jamie & Kerry Fountain; and several nieces and nephews.
