George Henry Barnes, age 89, of Jenison, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice.

The son of Floyd & Mary Barnes, he was born on March 22, 1922 in South Bend, Indiana and worked as a quality control manager for Avnet Corporation for 40 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Laurie Plummer of Jenison.

Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, Grand Rapids.
