Gary Lloyd Fox, 78, of Greenville, formerly of Alpena, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015 while at home with his wife.

Gary was raised in Alpena, served in the United States Marine Corps and returned home to work at Fletcher paper for 40 years. On May 20, 1988 he married Barbara Lawrence.  Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and in later years collecting rocks, throwing horseshoes and bike riding. He was an avid Red Wings and Detroit Tigers fan. Though it occurred later in life, his acceptance of Christ as his Lord and Savior was the main highlight of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-parents, Lloyd & Beatrice Fox, and Francis & Claire LeRue;  his brother, Robert;  and two sons, Charles and John.

Surviving are his wife, Barb Fox of Greenville;  his children, Susan Fox of Las Vegas, Nevada, Thomas & Terri Fox of Delta, Colorado, Daniel Fox of Reed City, and Chad & Jeanette Lawrence, and Jeremy & Traci Lawrence of Greenville;  eight grandchildren;  four great-grandchildren;  a sister, Phyllis & Lloyd Yuill of Hubbard Lake; a brother, Richard & Joan Kitter of Camas, Washington. 

Honoring Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.  Instead of flowers, contributions in memory of Gary may be made to Greenville Community Church, 6596 S. Vining Road, Greenville,  MI 48838.
