Mr. Gale D. Scheiern, age 78, of rural Sheridan, passed away Sunday evening at Sparrow Health-St. Lawrence Campus, Lansing.

Mr. Scheiern retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections, having attained the rank of Inspector.

Honoring his wishes, no services will be held and cremation has taken place.
