Frederick Wilson Barber, age 62, of Midland passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at his daughters home. Fred was born in Midland on February 23, 1948 the son of Forrest and Betty (Deshone) Barber. Fred graduated from Bullock Creek High School with the class of 1966 then worked as a electrician at General Motors for over 30 years.

Surviving are his daughter, Lori Winslow of Midland; two grandchildren, Taylor and Colby Winslow; his aunts and uncles, George Barber, Mick and Lil Barber all of Midland and Myra Fleming of St. Johns; special friends, Mary, Sue, Gary and Dee, Eric and Stan. An avid bowler, Fred is also survived by his many bowling friends. Fred was preceded by his parents; his sisters, Gwen and DeeDee and his brother, Lee Ellsworth.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Church of Daniels Band, 525 E. Dopp Rd. Midland, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Doug Tester will officiate and burial will follow at Homer Township Cemetery.

Envelopes for memorial contributions to MidMichigan Home Care and Hospice will be available at the funeral.
